Welcome!
My Randolph Experience:
The 2022-2023 school year is my seventeenth at Randolph. It's hard to believe how fast time flies, but it has truly been an amazing experience. During my eight years as a classroom teacher at RHS, I taught a variety of English courses and related electives. I also sponsored the RHS student council, National Honor Society, and eight academic UIL events. Although it was hard to leave the classroom and give up so many of the extracurricular activities I was involved with, I absolutely love my job as the vice principal. This year marks my ninth as an administrator (and my tenth as the director of the Cadette Dance Team). I know it sounds cliche, but I truly do believe that Randolph is the best little high school in Texas. And, I feel very lucky to be part of the Ro-Hawk family. Here's to another great year!!!
Education:
I attended Texas Lutheran University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education (English concentration) and Dramatic Media (theatre). I graduated in May of 2006 and then began my career at Randolph! I received my Master of Education in School Administration in May of 2010.
Background:
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas by two outstanding educators. My mom taught three, four, and five year old special education students for thirty-seven years, and my dad was the director of the media center (where he taught teachers) for thirty-nine years. From the time I was old enough to talk, I was "playing school" with my dolls and stuffed animals...so, when I finally became a teacher in real-life, it was a dream come true! Although I'm no longer in the classroom, I still think of myself as a teacher first and foremost, and my favorite part about my job is the connections I make with our awesome students each year.
