High School Students: Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP): SEAP is an eight-week high school apprenticeship opportunity at one of nearly 25 naval laboratories or warfare centers. Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship-for-Service: SMART scholarship for service program is an opportunity for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in STEM disciplines to receive a full scholarship and be gainfully employed upon degree completion. GVEC is happy to announce that we will be offering scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Our deadline is February 1st, please assist us in getting the word out about this scholarship opportunity. We encourage your students to apply early and once again have a separate Trade School application this year for students planning on attending a trade school.

 

Attached you will find a flyer with general information for our scholarship as well as eligibility requirements. Students can access  our online application at https://www.gvec.org/community/scholarships/  .  As part of the online application, students will be asked to upload a copy of their high school transcript. Our scholarship application must be submitted online prior to 11:59 pm on Thursday, February 1st, 2024.  

 

Also, we have set the date for our 2024 Scholarship Luncheon for Thursday, April 18th at GG’s Steakhouse in Gonzales.
