Glenda Brown » Welcome

Welcome

I am so excited to start this new year of teaching and learning.  This 2022-2023 school year will be my 20th year of teaching.  I have been fortunate enough to have taught 4th through 12th grades.

I grew up in a small West Texas farming community.  I have been married to my high school sweetheart Tom for thirty-seven years, and we have enjoyed living in several different places while he served our country for twenty-five years in the United States Marine Corps.  We have three amazing children and four beautiful grandchildren who have become the center of my universe.  Some of my favorite activities and hobbies are reading, gardening, and watching golf.  I also look forward to our yearly family vacations to Destin, Florida and Disney World, and simply enjoy spending quality time with our kids and grandkids.

Destin, FL 2021

As we relocated from place to place throughout our military career, I attended several colleges and universities and eventually received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Science from Texas A & M - Corpus Christi.  I am currently attending graduate school working towards my master's degree in Educational Leadership. Graduation day is December 6, 2023! Yay!!!

I have a very special place in my heart for all children, especially the military child.  Relocating every two years was sometimes very difficult and challenging for my own children, as was having a parent absent fulfilling military duties.  My focus is to make every student in my classroom feel safe, important and significant as they strive to reach their full learning potential and enjoy a successful school year!
