Mrs. Olivera

Introduction

I am a global minded middle/ high school teacher, who has been teaching and coaching for the last 17 years. I have taught in 3 different states: Georgia, Missouri, and Texas. For the past 6 years, I was a teacher in the Northeast Independent School District at Jackson Middle School. At Jackson Middle School, I taught 7th grade English as a co-teacher as well as my own English classes as an English as a Second Language teacher. In addition to my teaching position,  I have been the ESL department head for the past 2 years. In which I worked parallel with teachers designing and planning instruction that provides success for all learners. While teaching is my passion, I have also coached Volleyball, Track, and Soccer. As a coach, I have fostered the sports mentality in my athletes to have a positive outlook on sportsmanship and help build positive development and value within our teams and school community. Now, I am blessed to be at Randolph ISD, and I am going to teach 6th grade ELA and 8th grade ELA. I am so excited about this new opportunity! I can't wait to meet all my new students and engage them in meaningful, interactive learning opportunities.

My personal mission, as a master teacher, is to impact student achievement through the development and guidance as well as implementation of research-based instructional practices. I strive to provide an environment in which students and teachers are engaged in meaningful learning. I endeavor to maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and the community.
