Biography

Thank you for visiting my website! I am very excited to teach sixth grade reading and dyslexia intervention here at the secondary campus. I have been around Randolph for quite a while. I taught fifth grade at the elementary campus for 7 years, became a substitute teacher, then worked as a paraprofessional in the district. Growing up as a military brat I even attended school here during my 4th, 5th, and 6th grade years. As a military brat, I know what it is like to move and change schools often. I attended sixteen different schools growing up so I am very empathetic and understand the benefits and challenges faced by military children.

I am married to the very wonderful Rick Tarango and we have one daughter, Ashleigh and one son-in-love, Keith. We also have 3 of the most amazing human beings as our grandchildren. I tried to convince my daughter that we needed another one, but she feels like she has done more than her fair share.

My hobbies are gardening, swimming, cooking, reading, traveling, watching movies, and hanging out with kids. Anytime I have the opportunity do any of my hobbies with my grandchildren in tow, it is just even sweeter. I look forward to getting to know each of you and look forward to a fantastic year!

Thanks for reading!

Cell phones will not be allowed out during class instruction. I am fine with students leaving it on silent and in their backpacks, but if I see their phone they will need to put it in a caddy/pocket chart behind my desk. I will return their phones to them at the end of the class period.
