Ms. Karla Yen » Welcome!!

Welcome!!

Dear Parents,

I'd like to welcome you and your student to my English 8 ELAR course.  My name is Ms. Karla Yen.  This is my 21st year of teaching and my 17th at Randolph Field ISD. I am looking forward to having a productive, challenging, student-centered environment in class this year. English is a critical component in the preparation for high school success.
I believe that the program that I have planned will prepare the students to tackle the S.T.A.A.R. exam with confidence, handle the challenges of high school, and move forward confidently as life-long learners. I want to encourage you to communicate with me freely anytime that questions or concerns arise. You may reach me at 210-357-2428 or via email at yen@rfisd. I will return calls and emails within 24 business hours.
